You do not find many people with a kinder spirit than Raul. He has been a wheelchair user for more than half his life due to a swimming accident, but that does not stop him from being active within his community. He organizes community celebrations and helps with many of the graphic needs.
StirringWaters is especially important to him as it will be a safe place for him to enjoy the water with his family and friends. While he may not actually participate in the Suwannee River paddle, he has been on an excursion in one of the big canoes -- all while still sitting in his wheelchair. Raul hopes his friends and others will be generous in helping him raise funds to build a trully inclusive aquatic experience.
If Raul is successful in reaching his goal, an engraved tile with his name on it will be placed on the Wall of Honor in StirringWaters, the place where no person with disabilities is left sitting on the deck as all can get into the fun.
