2025 Suwannee River StirringWaters Paddle November 13-15, 2025

2025 Suwannee River StirringWaters Paddle November 13-15, 2025

Raised: $77,445.29 Goal: $97,500.00

Crews will man giant Voyageur canoes as they paddle a section of the Suwannee River with a mission focus to raise funds to help build StirringWaters, an intentionally and fully inclusive aquatic adventure experience for people and families living with disabilities.  Each paddle crew of 8-10 has a goal to raise at least $50,000.

Crew #1 is led by Michelle Hurst and to join her crew contact Michelle.Hurst@bticpa.com.

Crew #2 is led by Bill Redmon and to join his crew contact bill@removingthebarriers.org.

Crew #3 is led by Raul Jimenez, our first Canoe Captain who is a fulltime wheelchair user.  Bill Redmon is helping to schedule his crew so those interested in helping Raul be a successful Captain should contact bill@removingthebarriers.org.

Crew Virtual is for those who cannot physically participate, but still want to be part of the mission.  This Crew has no financial goal and can accept an unlimited number of participants.  Those raising $500 or more will be elegible for an official PeaceMaker long sleeved shirt.

The PeaceMaker Paddle will be a liesure day and a half paddle starting at Suwannee River State Park near Live Oak, Fl.  Lodging and meals are at the Village Lodge at Advent Christian Village.  This is the perfect experience for couples who want to work together in a fairly easy fundraising and paddle experience.

Paddlers will need to average $5,000 each to make the Crew goal and here are some tips for success:

1.  Make the largest donation you can make to get it started.

2.  Find a network to come alongside to help you.  Church, School, Business, Community, Family, Club, Etc.

3.  Some may want to give from their RMD (required minimum distribution).

4.  Get credit for finding sponsors for your Crew's Canoe.  $250 gets their name on one side or $500 for both sides. $1000 for a meal sponsor and a 4"x4" tile in StirringWaters. $5000 for a bow or stern sponsor and a 6"x6" tile in StirringWaters.  $25,000 for a logo flag flown from the canoe and a named family shelter in StirringWaters.

If donors want to give by check:  StirringWaters, 237 Golden Bough Road, Lake Wales, FL 33898.  Please have them note it is for your PeaceMaker Paddle.
